2010 BC Rivers Day!

The Chilliwack Vedder River Cleanup Society and their volunteers have completed two river cleanups this year to date. One in April and the most recent on July 24 with over 250 people turning out in the two events to once again remove large amounts of garbage left behind by users of this great recreational area.

On September 26th, the Chilliwack Vedder River Cleanup Coalition will once again be celebrating BC Rivers Day. Our celebration begins with the last 2010's Vedder River cleanup. Registration starts at 8:30am at the Chilliwack Fish and Game Club. Tim Hortons will once again be supplying donuts and coffee for volunteers. Volunteers will take part in the cleanup until 12:30pm, when a BBQ will begin back at the Chilliwack Fish and Game Club. This is followed by entertainment and draw prizes.

Registration: 8:30pm - 9:30pm Tim Hortons coffee, muffins and donuts
River Cleanup: 9:30pm - 12:30pm
BBQ: 12:30pm - 1:30pm Entertainment, Displays and Prizes
