Group Cleanups

Since February 2002, major clean-up events have been held with great results. During these events, Volunteers meet up at a given location and time, and spend up to four hours cleaning their allocated section of the river. During Rivers Day 2009, 250 participants cleaned up the Chwk Vedder River from Slesse Creek to the Sumas River. Several tonnes of garbage was collected. Beside the major cleanups, small cleaning activities are also organized by CVRCC throughout the year.

2010 River Cleanup Dates

CVRCC will once again be hosting three river cleanup events. The dates are:

• April 17th, registration at GBHNR
• July 24th, registration at GBHNR
• September 26th (BC Rivers Day), registration at Chilliwack Fish and Game Club
